I rememberFresh Breeze from the 1950s racing on the Clyde in Scotland. She was owned by an Admiral Fisher who raced her with his 5 lovely daughters. They lived in Gartmore by Stirling. She that is Fresh Breeze was a fast boat with washed out tan sails and the admiral used to helm her while sitting on a horses saddle. Would like to know what happened to the Fisher girls

Fresh Breeze, I always wondered what had become of her.
Is she 'The' Fresh Breeze? If so her end is nearly as sad as the reason for her creation, she is a thing of beauty but so is her predecessor. In 1887 the Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter Breeze was launched, she worked until at least 1912 and then as many of them did she became a yacht. Along the way she was owned by the Morel family who were Cardiff ship owners, in 1949 it was decided that she had reached the end of her useful life, and Uffa Fox was commissioned to design a 46ft cutter to replace her. The boat 'Fresh Breeze' was to be built by Harold Kimber from Highbridge, Nr Weston Super Mare (U.K). Sadly Corey Morel died before Fresh Breeze was completed, and I have a feeling owed money on the unfinished boat. The original Breeze fell into neglect, but was saved from the bonfire in 1961. In 2012 Breeze once again is in need of a rebuild, like Ken in the story I had a dream that work and family life interrupted, but now with a seriously ill partner its time to part company with her so that she avoids the same fate as her successor.
